Learn, Gain A Qualification And Play Football!

Our current Futsal Scholarship allows you to play the beautiful game while also earning a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport, with additional valuable qualifications that include FA Coaching Awards – all of which allow access to university and employment in the sport and leisure industry.
Throughout your course you will have the opportunity to represent LCFC on the pitch or court against local rivals Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Mansfield Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Football League’s Futsal League and Soccer AM Cup, as well as compete in 11-a-side matches against local teams, colleges and universities.
You could be among LCFC’s September 2015 cohort, where you will follow in the footsteps of our current students, who are well on their way to gaining a qualification in their dream industry.
Jamie Skinner, Leicester City’s Community Trust Education Officer, said: “We have seen a real development in the students who have taken the course. Our first cohort will complete the course this year, gaining some really vital experience with the Club, and I will be very proud to see them go onto university or employment in the sport and leisure industry.”
The course is open to current Year 11 and 12 male students.
Learn: Study towards a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (worth up to three A-levels).
Train: Regular Futsal coaching to develop technical, tactical and physical ability.
Play: Represent Leicester City in the Football League Trust Football League.
Work: Open the door to university courses and careers in the sports industry.
