Leicester City will travel to Thailand this week as part of the Club’s Premier League title-winning celebrations.

Fresh from parading the Premier League trophy through the streets of Leicester on Monday, Claudio Ranieri and his Foxes squad will head for the homeland of the Club’s owners, the Srivaddhanaprabha family, to continue the celebrations with the people of Thailand.

The Foxes have become one of the best-supported teams in Thailand since the Srivaddhanaprabha family and King Power took over the Club in 2010, building a strong fan-base among the country’s football-mad population.

Such support has been especially evident in recent months, with parties organised all over Bangkok to get behind City during crucial games in the Premier League run-in.

That support will be acknowledged during the Club’s post-season trip, which will include a number of official engagements aimed at thanking the people of Thailand for taking Leicester City to their hearts.

Players and staff will also have an opportunity for some rest and relaxation at the end of a long domestic season. While the majority of Claudio Ranieri’s first team squad will make the trip, international commitments will necessitate the absence of some players.

Having been named in Roy Hodgson’s initial England squad for Euro 2016, Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy will remain in the UK, ready to report with England on Wednesday.

N’Golo Kanté will also stay behind, having been asked to complete fitness testing by the France Football Federation ahead of his involvement in the same tournament this summer.

Riyad Mahrez, Daniel Amartey and Nathan Dyer have also been granted leave. Ranieri and captain Wes Morgan will lead the rest of the squad during the six-day visit, with a special welcome expected to be in store when the group arrives on Wednesday morning.

Supporters will be able to follow the trip on lcfc.com, Foxes Player HD and the Club’s social media channels, with exclusive access to the squad and the week’s activities.
