Moore Back In Contention For LCFC

After helping to guide England Under-21s to victory in Prague last week, Leicester City defender Liam Moore is once again back in the reckoning for the Foxes.
The Academy graduate returns from a loan spell with Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford to hand manager Nigel Pearson a boost going into the final nine games of the Barclays Premier League season.

The 22-year-old played three times for the Bees in what was his second loan spell with the side – most recently in a 1-1 draw with high-flying Ipswich Town – leaving them on the brink of a play-off position with just six games remaining.

But with City’s final nine games just at important, Moore will now lend his efforts to the Leicester cause and look to force his way into the squad for those upcoming fixtures, starting with a home clash against West Ham United on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the West Ham clash, manager Nigel Pearson said: “He's back with us and I'm pleased to have him back. The intention was always for him to go out and get some pitch time so that he's back with us for the run-in."

After a breakthrough campaign for Leicester City in 2013/14 and putting pen-to-paper on a three-year deal, Moore made his Premier League debut for the Foxes against Everton at King Power Stadium last August. He most recently appeared in January’s FA Cup victory at White Hart Lane prior to his loan at Brentford.

Moore will also hope to be involved with Gareth Southgate’s England Under-21s squad this summer in the European Championships after again impressing on international duty this past week.
