Moore Fit For United Trip

Defender Liam Moore will be fit for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Manchester United, according to Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson.

The Academy graduate was substituted in last weekend’s 2-1 FA Cup Fourth Round victory over Tottenham Hotspur due to an ankle problem.
But having trained on Thursday, Moore is now available for selection for the journey up to Old Trafford.
“He’s trained today (Thursday) so he’s back in contention,” said Pearson. “It’s disappointing for him in the context of his season where he’s had some good spells. It’s never easy for players when they’re out of the side and then they come back in.
“He had a difficult first 20 minutes. He’ll look back at days like last Saturday and use it in a positive way and move forward. I’ve got no doubt about that.”
Pearson also confirmed that striker Chris Wood remains side-lined with his ankle problem, while Kasper Schmeichel and Zoumana Bakayogo continue their recovery from injury.
The City boss added: “Chris Wood will be out for two or three weeks with his ankle ligament damage that he picked up in training last Thursday. Dean Hammond is available so we’re pretty much okay.
“The injuries that we have in the first team squad are to Kasper [Schmeichel], Woody and Zoumana Bakayogo. Matty James isn’t available through suspension.”
