Morgan: Nothing Is Dropping For Us

Club captain Wes Morgan is hoping that luck will start turning in Leicester City’s favour after a tough-to-take defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.
The 1-0 loss left the Foxes at the bottom of the league going into next weekend’s trip to West Ham United, but with performances continuing to improve for the team, he’s hopeful that a victory isn’t far away.

While Morgan and his team-mates did a good job of restricting Manchester City for the most part, he knows they need some good fortune in the opposition box if they are to turn their form around.

Speaking to Foxes Player, Morgan said: “We’re very disappointed and it’s frustrating at the same time. We went out there, gave a good account of ourselves and played well, but we didn’t get anything out of it. We can look at the positives again, but it’s disappointing to come away without anything.

“That break that never really happened for us. We got into some good positions and put some good balls in, but nothing seems to be dropping for us.

“I think with Frank Lampard’s goal, he was in the right place at the right time, but that didn’t happen for us in the game. I feel we were unlucky and we played well so we can take the positives from that.

“It was there for everyone who came to the game to see, just how hard we worked and how well we played against Manchester City, who are a great team.

“I know the fans will be disappointed, as are the team, but they can see how hard we’re working and that we should have got at least a point from the game. It’s good to see their appreciation.”
