Ndukwu Helps England Qualify For European U17 Championships

Under-18s attacker Layton Ndukwu helped England Under-17s qualify for the European U17 Championships with a 3-1 victory over Slovenia at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium on Monday.

The young forward played 54 minutes in the European Championship Elite Round qualifier as strikes from Reece Oxford, Nathan Holland and an own goal saw England advance with a game to spare.
Ndukwu, who scored in England’s 3-1 win over Norway on Saturday, could next be involved on Thursday 26 March in the young Lions’ final qualifier against Romania at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium.
Meanwhile, Development Squad forward Harry Panayiotou played 90 minutes for St. Kitts and Nevis in their 6-2 World Cup Qualifying victory over Turks and Caicos on Monday.
Panayiotou has been in fine form for City’s Under-21s, having scored six goals in his last five games in all competitions, including a Barclays U21 Premier League double against Sunderland last time out.
The talented forward scored on his international debut earlier in the campaign and again played a key role in St. Kitts’ first leg triumph.
Panayiotou’s nation will play their second qualifying leg against Turks and Caicos on Thursday 26 March.
