Nugent: We’ll Bounce Back

Leicester City striker David Nugent has backed his side to come back stronger after their 2-0 Barclays Premier League loss to West Ham United on Saturday.

Goals from Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing , despite the Foxes creating numerous chances to find the back of the net.
The former Preston North End man had a good opportunity of his own late on, hitting a sweet volley goal-bound that was saved well by Adrian, while top-scoring Fox Leonardo Ulloa was also denied by the Spanish shot-stopper.
“It’s disappointing,” Nugent told Foxes Player. “It’s another game where we haven’t won, but we created chances and we could have got something out of the game.
“The ‘keeper at the end has made two wonder saves from me and Leo [Ulloa], but hopefully we can take the performance, which wasn’t a bad one, into Tottenham and get a result.
“West Ham have done ever so well this season. Nobody expected them to be this high in the table, but they are grinding results out, they’ve got a system which they’re good at, and it’s working.
“I wasn’t disappointed with the performance, it was just two goals that we could have stopped. Konch (Paul Konchesky) is devastated with the back pass, but he’ll learn from it.
“All the lads are still behind the team and we still think we can get a few results and climb up the table. The performance wasn’t bad. We’ll bounce back, carry on and perform better.”
And Nugent is looking to City's performances at King Power Stadium to help get the Foxes' season back on track, with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs next up on Boxing Day.
He added: “We’ve got four games now in 12 days. This is the time to pick up the points, starting at home against Tottenham.
“We need to get our home form back on track. If we’re going to stay in the league, then it’s our home form that’s going to keep us in it.
“We need them (the fans) behind us. They’ve been frustrated at home, but we need them to get behind the lads and cheer us onto a win.”
