Pearson: Let Us Say Thank You

Nigel Pearson hopes fans will give his players a chance to express their gratitude this weekend, when the Foxes host Queens Park Rangers in their final game of the Barclays Premier League season.
City head into Sunday’s game with their top-flight status already secure for next term thanks to their superb run of six wins in their last eight games and will embark on a lap of appreciation post-match.

The Club has already appealed to supporters to respect the safety of players and their young families by remaining in their seats and Pearson hopes nothing will prevent his players paying tribute to their magnificent supporters.

"It will be nice to complete the lap to thank all the fans and our owners would like to be a part of that as well,” Pearson said.

"We would like to complete our thank you lap because it is important to us. It’s important for us to show our appreciation to our fans. I’m sure our fans feel the same way.

"We have to be proud of where we’ve finished in terms of where we were a couple of months ago, but there needs to be some perspective as well.

"It really is about trying to put everything in its place for this season and then again get our preparation right for the following season.”

To ensure that the lap of appreciation can take place and for the safety of the players and their young families, the Club kindly asks supporters to remain in their seats and to keep off the pitch AND the perimeter track.

Supporters are reminded that it is a criminal offence to enter the field of play.
