Pearson: Win Every Game
With the Foxes up to 17th after three consecutive wins and Burnley just two points adrift at in 20th, there are clear benefits for the winners, which also make it one of the toughest games of the season for both teams.
Spirits have undoubtedly been lifted around the Foxes camp on the back on those three victories, but within the squad there is a knowledge that the real work is still to be done, starting at Turf Moor on Saturday.
“It’s where we finish at the end of the season that’s the most important thing,” said Pearson. “From the recognition of 10 or 11 games to go that we’ve got a run in that we can impact, bearing in mind the sorts of performances that we’ve put in, the danger is that there is an assumption that our work is done.
“There’s a lot of hard work to be done and I think for the integrity of the competition, and to give everybody a realistic chance, we have to be trying to win every game that we play. I wouldn’t suggest that we’ve done anything other than that this season.
“We’ve found it tough this season, there’s no doubt about that, but we intend to keep the sort of work ethic and level of performance that we’ve had for the vast majority of the season."
