Ranieri, Morgan & Mahrez Nominated For Monthly Awards

- It is the fifth time this season that the City boss has been nominated 

- City captain Wes Morgan and Riyad Mahrez have been nominated for March’s Player of the Month Award 

- The Foxes won three of their four Premier League fixtures over March 

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, skipper Wes Morgan and forward Riyad Mahrez have all been nominated for March’s monthly Barclays Premier League awards. 

Having won the accolade in December, Ranieri’s name has again been put forward for the Manager of the Month Award after the Foxes enjoyed an excellent string of results over March. 

City drew 2-2 with West Bromwich Albion, before beating Watford, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United 1-0 to strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table. 

It is the fifth time this season that Ranieri has been nominated for the award, having been so previously in August, October, December and February. 

Swansea City’s Francesco Guidolin, Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe and West Ham United’s Slaven Bilic have all been nominated for the award. 

Meanwhile, City skipper Morgan and winger Mahrez have been nominated for March’s Player of the Month Award after some excellent performances for their side. 

Morgan and Mahrez face stern competition from Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, Southampton’s Graziano Pelle, Swansea City defender Ashley Williams and West Ham’s Dimitri Payet.
