Victory is the only thing on Leicester City’s mind as they head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday, according to Jeffrey Schlupp.

For the Foxes, a win on the day would see them crowned champions of England for the first time in their 132-history, but it’ll take a huge effort against a Manchester United side that have conceded just seven goals at home in the league all season.

The Old Trafford team secured a place in this season’s FA Cup Final with a victory over Everton last weekend but Schlupp insists that Leicester will also be high on confidence after a 4-0 win over Swansea City.

“They’ll be in a good place of course but obviously so are we,” Schlupp told Foxes Player HD. “We’re top of the table and we’re beating teams. I’m sure it’ll be a top game. They’re a great team but we won’t be going there to give them an easy ride.

“They’ve got a great record at home, they’ve not conceded many goals at home and everyone knows how big a team they are. But it’s another game and it’s another step towards succeeding. We’ll go there to win.

“It’s fair to say that we’re very strong on our counter attack. They’ll know that though and we’ll just have to see what kind of team they come out with and we’ll deal with it on the day.

“We’re all in a good place club-wise and player-wise. We’re coming off a good result against Swansea and really showing everyone what we’re capable of. We’re going into this game on a high and we will definitely be up for it.”

After missing a chunk of the season with a hamstring injury, Schlupp returned to the starting XI in impressive fashion in the 4-0 win over Swansea City last time out – even setting up Leonardo Ulloa for a goal.

And despite so much riding on a victory, Schlupp says that it’s confidence, not pressure that’s building within the squad.

He added: “It felt good to be starting again because it’s been a while having been out with an injury. I felt really good coming back into the team, I felt really fresh and I felt like I played well.

“Like I said we tend to deal with pressure really well. At the end of the day it’s a game of football between two teams. It’s just another game to us but hopefully we can win it and go from there.

“It’s not a secret anymore. We want to win the league. The manager has kept us grounded but he’s also reminded us of how important that game could be. We’re going there to try to win.

“Knowing that the chance of winning the league is a reality just gives everyone that extra lift. Hopefully we can go out and do it.”
