Leicester City’s Under-18s were beaten by a clinical Fulham side in the Barclays U18 Premier League at Motspur Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes lost 1-0 at Belvoir Drive to Swansea City last time out in what proved to be only their second defeat of the 2015/16 campaign.

A 2-0 home win over Fulham in August came courtesy of a double from striker Admiral Muskwe, who again found the back of the net on Saturday, but couldn’t prevent his side being beaten in London.

Reflecting on the game, Trevor Peake told LCFC.com: “In the first 30 minutes we were in command of the game and missed a couple of one-on-ones with their goalkeeper. We played most of that period in the Fulham half and had a lot of possession early on.

“We conceded after about 35 minutes and then again just two minutes later before ending up 3-0 down at half-time despite creating numerous chances.

"They scored three more goals in the second half before we managed to pull one back through Admiral Muskwe with about five minutes to play.

“We looked at the statistics after the game and they only had eight shots so they were very clinical. We’ve had weeks gone by where opposition teams have had more shots than that and haven’t scored.”

On Saturday, the young Foxes return to Belvoir Drive to face West Ham United – a side that proved tough to break down back in September.

Peake added: “This division is very close at the minute. There’s no easy games and no teams we can’t get points from, it’s just how it unfolds on the day.

“It was quite an even game the last time we played West Ham. Both sides had limited chances, but we managed to keep a clean sheet which was positive.”
