Leicester City’s Under-18s were edged out 3-2 at Norwich City in the Barclays U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The young Foxes conceded either side of the break, before scoring twice in quick succession to make it 2-2 thanks to goals from Kairo Mitchell and Admiral Muskwe.

But Norwich quashed City’s momentum and the hosts eventually went on to earn all three points late on in a thrilling encounter.

Reflecting on the game, Under-18s manager Trevor Peake told LCFC.com: “It was an interesting game and the conditions were very windy again. It’s an open training area at Norwich.

“We didn’t start too well and conceded after about 10 minutes. We went 2-0 down just after half-time, so we had a fight on our hands from that point.

“Thankfully we responded very well and got two goals back within the space of a few minutes to get the game back to 2-2.

“There was still about 25 minutes to go and within five minutes of our second goal, we lost a bit of momentum and allowed them to score a third goal.”

The young Foxes will now turn their attentions to the FA Youth Cup Third Round clash with Cheltenham Town at King Power Stadium on Wednesday 16 December (7pm KO).
