Walkers Salt & Victory To Go On Sale, Profits To The LCFC Foxes Foundation

- All profits from the sale of the special commemorative packets of crisps will go to the LCFC Foxes Foundation 

- Walkers Crisps, the Club’s Legacy Partner, produced more than 30,000 packets for fans to celebrate Leicester City’s title win at Saturday’s game against Everton 

- Packets will be available from local retailers from Thursday 12 May 

Salt & Victory, created by Walkers Crisps to celebrate Leicester City’s title victory, will go on sale in shops, with all profits going to the LCFC Foxes Foundation. 

Special commemorative packets were given to City supporters attending the Club’s final Premier League game of the campaign last Saturday, courtesy of the Club’s Legacy Partner, but now their generosity is set to spread even further. 

Available from local retailers from Thursday 12 May, the celebratory packs feature the manager and players on the front, with the Walkers logo replaced with the word ‘winners’. 

The LCFC Foxes Foundation raises money for a number of local causes, with fundraising since its launch totalling well over £1million, and this generous gesture from Walkers will go some way towards helping the Foundation reach it’s £2million target. 

Thomas Barkholt, Walkers Marketing Director, said:“We are incredibly proud of our Leicester heritage and everyone at Walkers is unbelievably excited about Leicester City’s success in the Premier League this season. So when Leicester City won the trophy, we wanted to do something really special to mark the occasion. 

“We created a commemorative, limited edition, ‘Salt & Victory’ packet of crisps to give away at the last home game of the season on 7 May. They were so incredibly popular that we were inundated with requests from Leicester fans wanting to get their hands on a packet. 

“As a result, we made the decision to extend production and make the ‘Salt & Victory’ packs available to retailers throughout Leicestershire. We hope that Leicester fans will embrace the opportunity to get their hands on one of these celebratory packs and enjoy a little taste of ‘Victory’, whilst also supporting local charities.” 

Leicester City Commercial Director Ian Flanagan added:“This is a wonderful gesture from Walkers Crisps to not only give those supporters who weren’t able to get a pack on Saturday the chance to have one, but also to support the LCFC Foxes Foundation in doing so. 

“The Salt & Victory crisps added to a wonderful day of celebrations at the weekend, and it’s fantastic that thanks to Walkers, those celebrations can continue while at the same time giving back to the community through the work done by the LCFC Foxes Foundation.” 

The Salt & Victory packets follow on from the famous ‘Vardy Salted’ flavour produced to celebrate Jamie Vardy’s record-breaking goal streak against Chelsea earlier this season. 

Walkers also produced a limited edition flavour to mark City’s promotion to the top flight back in 2003, but after Wes Morgan and co. stunned the sporting world to win the league this season, the taste of Salt & Victory will be sweeter than ever.
