It was a successful night all round for Leicester City’s trio of internationals in action on Monday night, with a clean sweep of three victories.

England, Austria and Switzerland were all represented in the penultimate night of Euro 2016 qualifying, but with all three nations having secured their spots at France next summer, all that was left was to end their campaigns on a high.

Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions were away to Lithuania and looking to make it ten wins from ten in their campaign, and Leicester striker Jamie Vardy played the full 90 minutes.

It proved to be another comfortable victory in the end, with two own goals having England 2-0 up at the break, before Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rounded off the scoring with a third midway through the second half.

It was another solid outing from Vardy in an England shirt as he looks to stake his claim for a place in Hodgson’s squad for Euro 2016 this summer.

City defender Fuchs also got 90 minutes under his belt on Monday as he captained Austria to a 3-0 victory at home to Liechtenstein to ensure they ended their qualifying campaign unbeaten and with a ninth consecutive qualifying win.

Also in England’s group, Inler captained Switzerland to a late 1-0 win away to Estonia. The midfielder played 90 minutes in the victory as the Swiss finished runners-up to the Three Lions in the table.

On Sunday night there was another 90 minutes for goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for Denmark against Euro 2016 hosts France.

The friendly fixture ended 2-1 to France after a brace of early Olivier Giroud goals put the visitors in control. In the Euro 2016 stakes, Portugal and Albania qualified automatically from Denamrk’s group, meaning that Schmeichel and co. will face a play-off fixture next month to claim their spot at next summer’s tournament.
