Forty years of service from a Leicester City legend will be celebrated at King Power Stadium next month, when the LCFC Foxes Foundation hosts Birch's 40th Anniversary Dinner.
Marking four decades since he first joined the Foxes, the event on Saturday 25 February will celebrate the illustrious career of Alan Birchenall, both as a player and Club Ambassador - roles that have ingrained one man into the very fabric of Leicester City Football Club.
The inspiration for the LCFC Foxes Foundation's One In A Million campaign, the Birch has been a standard bearer like no other, both for Leicester City and the city of Leicester, since his arrival in 1971. From talented attacking midfielder and fans favourite to charity fundraiser and Freeman of the City, nobody does it quite like the Birch.
As he reaches another landmark in his time on Filbert Way, supporters are invited to join Alan and a host of special guests for a unique evening of stories, recollections and entertainment. Quite simply, it is an event not to be missed.
All proceeds from the event will go to the LCFC Foxes Foundation's One In A Million campaign, which sees the Foxes trying to take the £850,000 raised by the Birch during his time with the Club through the £1million barrier by raising £150,000 for ten Leicester charities during the 2011-12 season.
Tickets for Birch's 40th Anniversary Dinner are now on sale priced £55 per person, or £500 for a table of ten*. (Price includes reception drinks on arrival, three-course meal and half-bottle of wine per person.)
