Leicester City have applied to take part in the Pontin's Holidays League next season.
City have not been involved in a reserve league structure since their stint in the Premier Reserve League South came to an end in 2006.
The Foxes must now wait to find out if they will be entered into the Division One Central, East or West league structure.
Leicester also confirmed that they would be playing all their home reserve team matches away from the Walkers Stadium.
City's Club Secretary Andrew Neville said: "As we expect to have a larger first team playing squad next season, we have applied to join the Pontin's Holidays League.
"We will be playing our home matches at the Marston's Stadium, Hinckley, which will help us to protect the Walkers Stadium pitch.
"We will be in a better position to confirm which of the three divisions we will be playing in as soon as the Premiership and Championship seasons have ended."
