City's 'Prince of Persia' Hossein Kaebi believes it is a "dream come true" to finally be playing in Europe.
The highly-talented Iranian international right-back has signed a two-year contract at the Walkers Stadium despite interest from four Premier League clubs.
Speaking through an interpreter, the 21-year-old, who joins the Foxes from Iranian side Persepolis FC, said: "I have always wanted to play in Europe and Leicester have given me that opportunity.
"I am thankful to them and will aim to do my very best for this club and not let anyone down."
Kaebi has even delved into the club's history books and is now looking to follow in the footsteps of some true Leicester legends.
"When I was told Leicester were interested in me, I started checking out their history and tradition and was impressed to discover that players like Gary Lineker and Emile Heskey started their careers here," he added.
"I am very impressed with the stadium and the people around the club have made me very welcome so I am determined to play well and repay the faith they have shown in me."
Kaebi is also relishing the chance to play in front of a capacity crowd at the Walkers Stadium
"Persepolis' average crowd is about 50,000 so I am used to playing in front of big gates.
"I can't wait to get going and working with the rest of the players to help Leicester get back into the Premiership."
Kaebi, who featured in the 2006 World Cup for his country, currently has 50 official caps to his name and is set to add to that tally during this month's Asian Cup, where he could come up against City and Australian defender Patrick Kisnorbo.
