Patrick Kisnorbo was one frustrated individual following City's goalless draw with Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park on Saturday evening.
The Australian international played an instrumental part in keeping the hosts at bay as Gary Megson's men recorded another clean sheet.
However, at the other end Lady Luck was not on the visitors' side as Kisnorbo himself had a goal ruled out for offside which in fact, after since watching the replay, was actually onside while Matty Fryatt was only denied by a fine save by Iron keeper Joe Murphy in the second half.
Meanwhile, Iain Hume was harshly sent off for an adjudged second bookable offence, leaving his side down to 10 men for the final 30 minutes.
And Kisnorbo said: "Sometimes things go for you, and other times they don't and tonight was one of those nights when luck wasn't on our side.
"Matty Fryatt had a fantastic chance and nine times out of 10 he would have put that away but unfortunately for us it didn't happen on this occasion.
"But we've got fantastic strikers and I am sure when they score one or two then their confidence will be up and they will start scoring on a regular basis.
"Humey was also harshly sent off when he only had eyes for the ball and with the disallowed goal, I have since seen it on the video replay and it looks like I was onside so that's disappointing.
"Some people might not realise just how costly these kinds of decisions can prove to be over the course of a season - it was a frustrating 90 minutes."
However, Kisnorbo believes there is no time to dwell as the City squad step up their preparations ahead of Tuesday night's Championship clash against Sheffield United at the Walkers Stadium.
"One point is better than none and hopefully we can now improve on that on Tuesday night," Kisnorbo added.
"We will take the positives out of this game but if we want to be up there challenging then we need to start winning games.
"We are drawing far too many at the moment."
