We take a look back at previous meetings between the two clubs and reveal all the facts and figures ahead of Saturday's game.

HEAD TO HEAD
City and Norwich have faced each other just 47 times in the past, but only 39 of those games have come with league points at stake. To date, City have won 11 and drawn 6 of the 24 meetings in Leicester, though only 7 of those wins have come when points were the reward.

EARLY MEETINGS
The first ever meeting was actually in the F A Cup first round back in 1912-13, when Fosse crashed out 1-4 at Filbert Street to their giant-killing Southern League visitors, following an abandonment of the original tie. Rare footage of this game still exists and can be seen on the club's official history video/dvd. The opening league clashes came in the thirties, when the Canaries twice escaped from Filbert Street with a point. In fact, City had to wait until the League Cup quarter final in 1963-64 for their first ever home win over Norwich and until 1969-70 for an initial home league victory.

RECENT FORM
City went down 1-2 to the Canaries at the Walkers tadium last season, in Nigel Worthington's first game at the helm. Darren Kenton gave the Foxes a first minute lead, but a Robert Earnshaw penalty and a Gareth McAuley own goal were sufficient to turn the tables. Back in January, the clubs shared a tight goalless draw at Carrow Road.

BIGGEST WINS
As well as the 4-1 F A Cup victory in 1913, Norwich also won at Filbert Street by the same score en route to promotion in 1981-82. City have never managed better than a 3-0 win in the series. The last time we recorded that particular scoreline was in the F A Cup tie in 1979, when Keith Weller played in those infamous white tights.

SEQUENCES
Norwich are unbeaten in their last 7 meetings with the Foxes.

MARKSMEN
The only two hat-tricks recorded both came in 3-2 victories, and both at Carrow Road. Viv Busby achieved the feat for Norwich in 1976-77, whilst Jim Melrose returned the favour on the final day of the 1980-81 campaign to consign the Canaries to relegation alongside Leicester. Overall, Alan Smith is City's leading marksman against the Canaries, with 5 counters in total.

FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS
The list of players to represent both clubs over the years includes Trevor Benjamin, Dion Dublin, Darren Eadie, Elvis Hammond, Kevin Harper, Andy Johnson, Darren Kenton, Lee Marshall, John O'Neill, Iwan Roberts, Mark Robins, Keith Robson, Martin Russell, Tony Spearing, Rob Ullathorne and Ashley Ward. In addition, the clubs share a bevy of recent Irish managers in Nigel Worthington, Martin O'Neill and Bryan Hamilton.

DEBUTANTS
Just 5 players have made their City debut against Norwich over the years: Peter Eastoe, Norman Leet, Kevin MacDonald, Andy Peake and, last season, Joe Mattock.
