Ian Holloway says he faces some 'big decisions' ahead of Sunday's Championship clash against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Leicester go into the game knowing that at the very least they must match third-bottom Southampton's result against Sheffield United if they are to stave off relegation.

And Holloway says he has got a number of selection issues to mull over ahead of the televised fixture.

He said: "We've got a few injuries to look at ahead of the game. It's been awkward for Matt Oakley. He has had a very sore foot over the last six games. Lots of players wouldn't have even tried to play with it - but he has. He has also now got an ankle problem, which doesn't help. It locked up on him when he was driving home the other day. We might need to inject that - but he is putting himself up to play.

"Lee Hendrie is absolutely devastated because he wanted to play, but it looks like he is running out of time. He's still got Achilles problem.

"The fact that these lads are prepared to put their bodies on the line gives me hope for the future. But I need fit people who are ready to go out there and give up themselves for the cause. That's what we need."

And with Oakley doubtful, Holloway added that he may also need to select a new captain to lead his troops on the field.

"We are also without Stephen Clemence and Patrick Kisnorbo - so I may have to select a new player to wear the armband."
