Ilkeston Town 2-4 Leicester City
A young Leicester City side fought back from two-nil down against a stubborn Ilkeston Town to claim victory at the New Manor Ground on Wednesday evening.
Second half goals from Andy King, Levi Porter and two from Billy McKay helped the Foxes turn around a two-goal half time deficit.
The visitors were pegged back in the sixth minute when Anthony Howell put Ilkeston ahead from close range.
Levi Porter came close to levelling for Leicester nine minutes later but his low drive rebounded off the foot of the post.
The Robins doubled their lead on 22 minutes - Howell grabbing his second of the evening after goalkeeper Alex Cisak failed to clear Amari Morgan-Smith's shot.
Three half time substitutes saw the Foxes find their feet as Andy King fired a 23-yard free kick into bottom corner immediately after the restart.
Eric Odhiambo rounded goalkeeper Chris Adamson in the 55th minute but could not find the target with his shot.
But Leicester didn't have to wait long and were level ten minutes later when Billy McKay turned in Lee Cox's cross.
King saw a long range effort loop over the bar before McKay doubled his tally to put the Foxes 3-2 ahead.
Porter rounded off a spirited fight-back seven minutes from time - The winger beating substitute goalkeeper Dan Haystead with a curling shot from the corner of the penalty area.
City's pre-season campaign concludes on Saturday when they travel to Crystal Palace (3pm).
