Personal message from The Birch after he announced that supporters had helped to raise over £20,000 following last season's annual charity run.

Hello everyone,

Again, as every year, you the City fans have been absolutely brilliant in helping to raise a fantastic amount of monies for my annual charity run. Every year I call upon you for help in raising as much money as possible and your generosity is amazing. 

I appreciate that the financial demands placed on us all in this day and age are extremely difficult so thank you.  I know I not only speak for myself but also on behalf of everyone at ProstAid.

Who would have thought when I started the run all those years ago that we would be able to help over 80 odd charities and raise hundreds of thousands of pounds.

As you all know we have covered many different charities over the years and I always like to choose something local, based within the County to help people in the County.  We have helped several different cancer related organisations in the past but prostate cancer has never been one of them. The organisation does some fantastic work and is really well run by local people and I am delighted to advise that the final amount raised is £23,734.49.

As always every last penny will go towards charity and, as always, the club has not taken out any administration costs.

Many thanks again for your kind donation and continued support.  I can't promise you won't hear from me again next year but we'll have to see how the body bears up over the next 10 months or so!
