Having joined Leicester City in November, Marc Edworthy has impressed Nigel Pearson enough both on and off the pitch to earn a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the season.

The Foxes today confirmed the news that the 36-year-old had signed a new deal to extend his stay at the club.

Since joining as a free agent in November, Edworthy has made six starts and helped to strengthen the Foxes defence in the short time since his arrival.

The player made his Foxes debut on Saturday, November 8 in the FA Cup First Round tie against Stevenage Borough and hasn't been on the losing side in any game since joining.
