Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson saluted the players, staff and supporters after his side were confirmed League One champions on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes went into their game against the Southend United at Roots Hall knowing that a victory would give them an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
And it would be goal machine Matty Fryatt who would do the damage on the day - grabbing two goals to make it 31 for the season.
Pearson said: "This has been a real team effort by all of the players, staff and the supports. We have achieved our goal and that leaves me feeling very proud.
"I have told the young players to remember this time because days like these don't come round very often, and when they do you have to make the most of them.
"It's been a great season so us so far. There have been times when we have not been at our best. We certainly had to fight very hard today - that's for sure.
"We didn't play particularly well in the first half, but I am pleased in the fact that we have got ourselves over the line in the end rather than us relying on results elsewhere.
"You have to work hard to achieve success and I am really thrilled for the players.
"I am also delighted for the fans who will go from here very happy. They have been magnificent throughout the season and have played a real part in our promotion.
"We can now look ahead to our last game against Scunthorpe. We are not only hoping to put on a good show for our home fans - we also want to show them how much their support has meant to us all season."
