Leicester City's Carling Cup first round clash against Macclesfield Town will be played on Wednesday 12th August (7.45pm).

The tie will be the Foxes' first ever visit to Moss Rose and will take place four days after the season opener against Swansea City at the Walkers Stadium.

The two sides met at the same stage of the competition during the 2006/07 campaign with City progressing into the second round with a 2-0 home victory.
