Brown Hoping For Ram-Raid

Posted on: Wed 14 Oct 2009

Leicester City centre-back, Wayne Brown, says he and his teammates are ready to "run through brick walls" as the Foxes prepare for Saturday's huge clash against local rivals, Derby County, at the Walkers Stadium.

Brown, who joined the club initially on loan last season, before signing a permanent deal in the summer, was a major part of the club's title triumph last year and has continued that solid form in the Coca-Cola Championship.

The big defender, clearly not the kind of person to shirk a challenge, is in buoyant mood ahead of the visit of the Rams.

"We've got the ambition to run through brick walls for the supporters because we know that they are behind us. No doubt the lads will be aiming to do just that, starting with the Derby game."

Brown feels that the City supporters have already had an impact this season, with close to 5000 making the trip to the Ricoh Arena for the 1-1 draw with Coventry City.

"The lads do thank the fans for their support and if we're all singing from the same hymn sheet, we're more likely to achieve the success we all want."
