Foxes Take It On The Chin
City boss Nigel Pearson's disappointment at today's 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe was down to the way his men dominated the proceedings only to be caught with the last kick of the game.
Ahead through an early Martyn Waghorn strike, the visitors looked set for another away win but deep into stoppage time, Scunthorpe substitute Martyn Woolford's deflected strike denied City their deserved win.
Pearson said: "We should have been out of sight. I think that is the biggest disappointment from today.
They did not cause us any trouble throughout the game. We have only got ourselves to blame for not taking the three points.
They got a lucky ricochet in the box late on but the number of chances we created and the possession we had, we should really have been out of sight."
That early goal looked like setting City up for a simple win but the Championship is never as simple as that and Pearson said: "This is not always an easy place to come but having said that, I thought we played pretty well today.
So it is disappointing to drop two points so late in the game but we have to take it on the chin.
Unfortunately, we have not seen the game out but we should have really put ourselves in a position where that was the case."
