Hospitality Treat For Loyal Fan

Posted on: Wed 02 Dec 2009

The Bristol City game on December 8th is a special occasion for our Season Ticket Holder David Brain, as he will be treating his family to VIP hospitality at the Walkers Stadium. David won a VIP box for 12, taking part in our corporate hospitality supporters' prize competition.

The winner told us: "I will use the box for a family outing for some of the people I normally leave at home to follow LCFC. My youngest daughter and her friend will join us, as well as my partner, her father and son, my cousin and his three sons. My friend's son and his fiancee will also come."

Talking about his usual match day experience as a corporate hospitality Season Ticket Holder, David said: "My ticket is for the Keith Weller Lounge and I would not change my seat for any other in the ground. I am fortunate to sit right on the half way line, four seats in front of Mr Mandaric.

"I usually get to the ground about 90 mins before kick-off. Sit and watch the live game on sky sports whilst catching up with my fellow regulars, Ron, Colin and Mike and other friends."

"I am also delighted with the team's performance: If we cannot make the top two, I have noted May 22 2010 in my diary for a promotion winning trip to Wembley."

David has been a fan from a young age, his first game being a battle againts Notts County in the 1970/71 season. Travelling from Loughborough, he used to cycle over ten miles to watch his favourite team, as he couldn't afford the bus, and often raced back after matches to beat the crowd using travelling on public transport  - he often did!

"I remember my first replica shirt, I had the number 10 handmade and had it stitched on the back. A rather well-known LCFC character wore the number 10 at that time!

"My favorite era has to be the Bloomfield days, watching the likes of Worthington, Weller, Whitworth, Shilton and of course the number 10," David said, of course referring to Foxes legend Alan Birchenall.

"My LCFC legend is Gordon Banks, an LCFC World Cup winner. I never got to see him play for us but did see him play for Stoke City - I think Peter Shilton was in our goal that game. "

We would like to congratulate David on behalf of everyone at the club and look forward to hosting his family in a private VIP hospitality box for 12 on December 8.
