Andy Anticipates Tough Match

Posted on: Wed 02 Dec 2009

City midfielder Andy King is full of anticipation looking ahead to Saturday's trip to face Nottingham Forest, the fixture the Blue Army have been waiting for since the start of the season.

The players themselves are similarly excited at facing such long-term local rivals and with both challenging strongly for promotion, there is an added edge, if one was ever needed.

King said: "They are a place behind us, it is another local derby and the lads will be up for it."

"We know they are a good team and have got a lot of strength, but we are a good team too. It is a big game and everyone is going to want to watch it."

"Hopefully we can come away with the three points. It is a big game for both teams but people have said that there is still a long way to go and hopefully we can keep the run going."

City's last trip resulted in the frustrating 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe last Saturday when City were foiled by a goal with the last kick of the game, to which King said: "It was very disappointing for everyone involved."

"We dominated the game for the most part and had enough chances to kill the game but, as we did the week before, they scored a late one and we will learn from that, forget it and look forward to the next game."
