City's goalkeeper Chris Weale was as shocked as anyone with the opening minute strike by Ipswich in the 1-1 draw at the Walkers Stadium yesterday. At the same time, he was heartened not just with the fight back but also the position in the table.
Even without another home win, City are fifth in the Championship table, solidly placed among the promotion challengers.
Talking about the opening goal, Chris said: "It was just straight from the kick-off. Things happen like that sometimes, you concede in the ninety-fifth minute, you concede in the first minute. We will look at it, learn from it and move on.
"We responded very well, I thought. We took the game to them and got it back in the first half. It was probably not the best spectacle for the supporters but a draw, and being fifth in the league, is not too bad. We will probably take that halfway through the season.
"If you look back on the games, there are areas where we might have picked up points so we would probably be disappointed. However, halfway, lying fifth, it is not too bad. There is a long way to go and we have to push on."
