Leicester's Academy side extended their unbeaten league to run to sixteen league games with a convincing 6-0 winners at MK Dons on Tuesday evening.
Welshman Elliot Camberlain was the star of the show, as he netted a hat-trick for John Rudkin's side.
The home side proved initially difficult to break down and it was not until the 25th minute that Chamberlain managed to open the scoring. Adi Yussuf then followed that up with a goal to give the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead.
Two more from Chamberlain, another for Yussuf and one for Jorrin John completed the rout after the break and extend City's lead at the top of the league to eight points.
Academy manager Jon Rudkin was pleased with the result, especially as it was achieved in adverse weather conditions
"The game was played in difficult, windy conditions. Clearly we commanded the second half and it was encourageing to keep a clean sheet."
The Academy are set for another busy week with Rudkin and his staff busy on and off the pitch.
"We are holding half-term trials throughout all the age groups and it is an important time both for coaching and recruitment with the Under-15s facing a game against Arsenal."
The Academy's two players away on international duty, Shane Byrne and Kevin Knight, both featured for the Republic of Ireland in their 2-0 win in Hungary and will both be back to be available for the game away at Reading.
