A late equaliser from Jorrin John rescued the City Academy side's unbeaten league record in their 3-3 draw at Reading on Saturday.
City took the lead from a set-piece move through Cian Bolger, but the home side replied ten minutes later. Adi Yussuf restored the Foxes' lead after the break in what was a keenly faught contest. The visitors had chances to increase their lead but they were caught on the counter-attack for an equaliser and in the closing stages, the Royals took the lead.
City's unbeaten run was under threat but John popped up late in the piece to salvage a point for John Rudkin's side.
Academy manager Jon Rudkin said: "It is always a tough fixture down there and it was a scrappy game. We were disappointed to concede three goals but we have made a good start to the year in the league with two wins and a draw. Now we are looking ahead to Saturday's game at home to Coventry."
