"We're Back In Business"
Bruno Berner believes Leicester City are "back in business" after a magnificent 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Walkers Stadium.
Berner netted the opener, before goals fro m Paul Gallagher and Andy King completed the rout and the Swiss ace believes the Foxes were the better long before he netted his third of the season.
"The first goal was going to be crucial but I genuinely felt we were in conrtol during the whole game today.
We knew we needed a good February to get ourselves back in business and we are back in business. Can we do it in the month of March? We are determined to do so."
City's victory over their East Midlands rivals moved them within seven points of Billy Davies's side, but Berner was keen to state that they can't afford to get carried away with thoughts of an assault on the automatoc promotion places.
"It is a nice thought but again we have a long way to go, we are on a good run at the moment, 16 points gained in the month but if there is an opportunity to move even further up then why not?
After being hammered by Forest in December, Berner said today was as much a psychological victory as it was a physical one.
"We were mentally tough. We knew it was going to be a tight game from the start against Forest and we were mentally strong.
The previous game which we lost 5-1 didn't have an impact on me because if we were going to win it was going to be only three points, not four or five.
City are now unbeaten in right Championship and haven't lost in over a month. Berner believes it was important that City managed to make it through the month unscathed.
"We wanted to finish the month of February on a high and we did that. When Forest beat us they were on a run and this time we are on a run, we had a fantastic crowd behind us and they really helped spurred us on."
