Nigel Pearson made another significant statement in the transfer market as the race for promotion continues, by capturing the services of England U-21 striker James Vaughan on a month long loan deal.
Vaughan, who trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday, is looking forward to helping City try and achieve back-to-back promotions.
"I'm delighted to be here, Leicester are a massive club, and I'm glad to come out here and try and get some games.
The league position speaks for itself, they've been flying this year and hopefully I can contribute during my time here."
The Birmingham born striker has been plagued with injuries over the past few seasons including a dislocated shoulder, knee problems and torn cartilage but feels he is now ready to kick start his career at the Walkers Stadium.
"I've had quite a few injuries over recent years but I'd like to think they are behind me now and that I can push on with the rest of my career, starting here at Leicester.
Physically I'd say I'm at full fitness, but I haven't had many matches in the last few weeks. Hopefully I can have a few games and get back to full match fitness."
Vaughan, hasn't started a game since January 2nd when he netted against Carlisle United in the FA Cup Third Round, but he is hoping a regular run of games will mean he'll be on the mark in the near future.
"One thing that I think I can bring to any team is goals, it's definitely something I pride myself, and something I want to bring to the table."
