City boss Nigel Pearson says his side can have no complaints after they finished with a point from the East Midlands derby against Coventry at the Walkers Stadium.
The home side stormed into a 2-0 first-half lead through an Andy King double but were pegged back after the break.
"We were by far the better side in the first half, no doubt about that, but in the second half, give them credit, they were much better and we didn't quite hit the heights."
There was controversy at both ends, with Andy King's header adjudged to have crossed the line when it looked dubious, and there were claims for offside on Gary Deegan's late equaliser. Despite this Pearson was keen to focus on the game as a whole.
"There certainly were a few key moments but forget all that. What I would say is that a draw was fair on reflection. Their second half performance probably warranted them getting a draw, we had some opportunities but didn't take them but I have no complaints."
City lost left back Bruno Berner to a calf injury aggravated in the warm up, which forced on loan defender Ryan McGivern to deputise. It was McGivern's first appearance since January, and Pearson admits it was a late decision to not risk Berner.
"We decided he was not quite right to start the game. He has a slight calf knock so we thought it would be prudent not to start him. The decision was made about 20 minutes before kick-off, not ideal but having said that I thought Ryan did very well."
