Shakey On QPR

Foxes assistant manager Craig Shakespeare is confident that City can complete a league double over Queens Park Rangers and maintain their place in the Championship's top six.

A brace from Matty Fryatt was enough to secure the points for Leicester at Loftus Road earlier in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, but Rangers are now under the stewardship of Neil Warnock and Shakespeare believes that means the Foxes have a tough afternoon ahead of them.

"I've seen them play a couple of times since Neil Warnock has gone in. They are probably a bit more resilient than they were, plus they've got some flair players.

When we went to there place earlier in the season it was one of our better away performances of the season, we're at home and we'd like to take the game to them."

Defeat at the Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion on Good Friday means City have now gone five games without victory in the Championship but Shakespeare says it is important not to dwell on their recent poor run.

"We're not going to feel sorry for ourselves. We're going to make sure we are united, that we show some resilience and bounce back. Albion and Cardiff were always going to be difficult games now we're back at home and we have to show what we're made of."

The game against QPR is one of three remaining games at the Walkers Stadium, with fixtures against Watford and Middlesbrough to follow. The importance of the City faithful in the run-in is not to be underestimated according to Shakespeare.

"I'd urge the fans to get behind the team. We know we've got to put on show for them. We have to play with passion and show a desire to win football matches."
