Joint Player of the Year winner, Andy King, took time to speak to LCFC.COM ahead of the Middlesbrough game this weekend.
King secured City's play-off place with his goal against Preston on Saturday, but the opponents, relegated from the Premier League last season, missed out on the chance of a swift return to the top flight.
The young midfielder praised the way his team mates have handled themselves over the season following their promotion from League One last year.
"The quality of opposition players is a lot better, as the teams are a lot better, but we have handled that well and we've had a good season ourselves."
"All the players that came up from last year are capable of playing at a higher level, and we have proved that."
King became a first-team regular during last season's promotion from League One and was quick to credit fellow midfielders Richie Wellens and Matt Oakley, who have helped him along the way.
"I have said all season long what a great help Richie (Wellens) and Matty (Oakley) have been to me. Their experience has helped me and given me things to work on."
"It's helped my game and if I can keep trying to improve and learning off the older players, I can keep getting better."
King's winner on Saturday made sure that there would be no pressure for the last game of the season, but he emphasised that it was important for the team to maintain the momentum ahead of the crucial play-off games.
"It was nice to get the win at Preston and take the pressure off for Sunday, but we want to keep the momentum going and we will be looking to win the game again."
"Were not bothered about who we play, we know we can beat any team in the play-offs. We just need to play our football and concentrate. Whoever we get, we know we will be able to beat them."
