Leicester's on loan defender, Alex Bruce says he is pleased to finally be involved in first team action after suffering a frustrating loan spell at the Walkers Stadium.
Bruce joined from Ipswich Town in January but has spent much of the campaign on the sidelines after suffering a groin injury and having a hernia operation following his full debut against Cardiff in March.
The Republic of Ireland international has returned to the side in the past two games against Middlesbrough and Cardiff and admits he is glad to be back in action.
"I feel good at the moment, obviously I was frustrated to get the injury when I first came and then had to have a quick hernia operation.
I'm pleased to be in the team now, hopefully I can carry on playing alongside Jack (Hobbs) and I really feel that we can develop a good partnership."
Bruce made a crucial contribution in the dying moments of the semi-final first leg at the Walkers on Sunday, sliding in to deny Ross McCormack as Cardiff looked to double their advantage.
A two goal deficit would've left Leicester with a mountain to climb and Bruce said that was exactly what he was thinking as he chased back to intervene.
"Obviously I knew in my mind when I was chasing back that I needed to get there, and thankfully I managed to get a toe on it and keep them out.
I did my job, but I think everyone did their job in some aspects in the first leg."
Bruce, 25, has always been desperate to help City to back-to-back promotions and insists the team must maintain a positive attitude if they are to overturn the one goal deficit.
"If you go in with a defeatist attitude and are negative you'll go away with nothing, but we're all very positive.
The manager has said to us that it's only 1-0 and we can come back. We'll be doing our utmost to get an early goal on Wednesday night and if we do that it's very much game on."
