Leicester City's Young Player of the Year, Martyn Waghorn, says he has learnt a "massive amount" during his season long loan spell at the club.
In his first full season of first team football Waghorn improved hugely and became an integral part of a City side that finished fifth in the Championship and reached the semi finals of the play-offs.
Waghorn didn't start a game for the Foxes until October, but really cemented his team in February following a terrible injury to top scorer Matty Fryatt.
Waghorn, 20, says he was pleased to be able to benefit from his team mate's misfortune.
"The injury to Matty, fortunately for me, helped me get into the team, but unfortunately for Matty it left him with a broken jaw.
I started almost every game since then, and it was massive for me to have that opportunity to play. I've played on my own a lot and that helped me a lot personally.
It was a different challenge for me, but I loved it and I can take nothing but great experience from it."
At such a young age, Waghorn could have struggled with much of the goal scoring burden falling on his shoulders, but the striker says he is at his best in situations like that.
"I love pressure, I thrive on it and sometimes it's difficult because I'm such a small guy. I have to fight quite a lot but it's all learning the game and hopefully I can take that into many more years."
Waghorn's all action displays for Leicester have meant some favourable comparisons have been drawn between him and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
After the 1-0 away win at Doncaster in February where Waghorn scored the winner, Foxes' goalkeeper Chris Weale said his performance was similar to that of Rooney, and Waghorn is flattered that he is likened to the England forward.
"I didn't know I was compared to Wayne Rooney but I definitely appreciate it! To be half as good as Wayne Rooney would be fantastic.
I'll enjoy my career if I'm half as good as him!"
