City boss Paulo Sousa is looking for a second successive Walkers Stadium win when Middlesbrough come here on Saturday.
Fresh from the 4-3 win over Macclesfield in the Carling Cup, Sousa wants to see victory again against a visiting side also beaten on the first day of the season.
"There are two teams looking for wins. They have invested a lot of money and of course they want to push for promotion but we are at home and we want them to feel that through our supporters. I hope and I expect to get the three points on Saturday.
"I feel good about it because it is at home where I want to be, with a lot of our fans supporting us to win games. It is our first game, my first home game in the league and I want to win."
There has been no shortage of goals in City's two games so far, at both ends, meaning the issues have been tight but Sousa is not too concerned about that.
"No I am not surprised about that. It is something I expected. Of course we want to be better defensively and keep attacking at the same level. This is what I told my team from the beginning and hopefully we will score more than our opponents in every game."
