City midfielder Richie Wellens was voted Man of the Match and the only thing lacking in making it a great day for him was that the Foxes did not land all three points.
The former Doncaster man who kept his starting place from Tuesday, says Boro were always happy with getting a point from the game.
"We had quite a few chances. I think they came for a point, played two banks of four and there wasn't much space between them and I think we needed to score the first goal to bring them out then I think we could have been comfortable.
"When we got it down and played, we created some good chances. We have to do that more, especially in the last twenty minutes. We want to put more quality into the box, better services and when that happens we will score more."
Wellens' love of getting the ball down and playing passing football suits Paulo Sousa's style of play perfectly and the midfielder believes he can flourish under the former Portuguese international
"As soon as he was announced manager I was looking forward to playing that style. I saw how Swansea played and we have got to be comfortable in adapting to how he wants to play.
So far we have done okay, we just need to turn the performances into better ones and the results will come. He wants more players in and obviously the competition for places will be fierce but we should welcome that."
