It is arguably City's biggest test of the season so far, but skipper, Matt Oakley, knows that the visitors will take the game to Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
The Clarets are among the favourites to bounce straight back after their relegation from the Premier League. Oakley believes the Foxes have every chance of using Paulo Sousa's attacking style with great effect for the trip to the North West:
"We will attack. That is the way Paulo is going to be all season, wanting us to attack and score goals.
We will try it at Burnley, which is a tough place to go, especially as they have just come down.
They have a bit of money and have strengthened their squad, but we are playing well and there is no reason why we can't get the three points."
City's overall play deserves more than just the one point from last Saturday's goalless draw at the Walkers Stadium against Middlesbrough, when the Foxes dominated possession and created a host of chances.
The City midfielder, while disappointed with the points return, is optimistic that the results will come if the good performances continue:
"That is the way it has gone. We played well at Palace, but just conceded poorly then we finished really strongly.
To totally dominate a team at home showed how good we were that day but we just gave ourselves too much to do and then Middlesbrough again, how that was a nil-nil I will never know.
If we had scored one we would have gone on to win well. They put everyone behind the ball and I think they just came here for a draw.
They hardly had a decent effort on goal so we were disappointed with just one point, but overall pleased with the way we are playing."
Oakley also emphasised how well the squad were adapting to the different style of play under the stewardship of Paulo Sousa:
"We have adapted well to it, we just need to tidy up on the mistakes we made in the Palace game.
We kept a clean sheet in the 'Boro game so that is a positive, so we need to convert our chances. We are creating a lot but not scoring, especially in the Middlesbrough game, but that was the only disappointment."
