At last, City boss Paulo Sousa saw clear signs that his developing team is gathering pace, with their fine 2-1 Carling Cup win at Leeds.
Sousa saw his side battle back gallantly from going a goal down and he said: "Yes it is something we have been waiting to achieve."
"We have come very close in the last few games, playing well, being well organised and today it came."
"We were penalised for a mistake straight away but then we recovered, especially after half time and we started the second half well. We were always looking to win the game and that is what we did."
"I see every game the same, a game to win, each manager loves to win."
"At this moment we have a small squad and we have to use different players. Today it was to find the right development and the main thing is that it is developing steadily."
"It is always nice to win and now we hope for a big club in the draw. We have a big foundation of fans and we would like that, hopefully at home so they can enjoy it."
