Leicester City boss Paulo Sousa is confident that Matty Fryatt and Lloyd Dyer may play some part in City's Saturday evening game against Reading at the Walkers Stadium.
Fryatt (Achilles) and Dyer (Groin) missed the trips to both Burnley and Leeds United, but have been training this week and Sousa is hopeful that they could be fit to face Brian McDermott's side.
"There is a good chance that Lloyd and Matty will be involved on Saturday. They've been training all week and they have got through the whole training session today (Thursday).
They have as much of a chance as everyone else of playing a part in the game."
City will be without Chris Weale for the game against Reading, but Sousa has moved to bring in Carl Ikeme on an emergency loan from Wolves. Ikeme will battle with Conrad Logan for the goalkeeper's jersey after Sousa admitted Weale is not ready for a return.
"At Burnley we thought Chris might be out for six to eight weeks but I don't think it's that bad. But it's an important position and we need cover because Chris is out of the game on Saturday.
It's a good opportunity for Carl, as he's not been getting a chance to play with Wolves. Coming to Leicester makes his future brighter than it was before."
Paul Gallagher completed his first full game of the season against Leeds on Tuesday night, and Sousa believes Gallagher could prove crucial for City as the season progresses.
"I have spoken about Paul at the start of the season, he is a player with a lot of qualities. His technical abilities are amazing.
In the last game I saw his hunger and desire to achieve good standards and good levels. "
