Kisnorbo Praises Resilient Foxes
Paddy Kisnorbo was delighted to help out his side at both ends of the pitch on Saturday afternoon.
The Australian international turned in a man-of-the-match performance against QPR and was instrumental in helping his side come away from Loftus Road with a point.
The stand-in captain netted his fourth goal of the season after just seven minutes before helping to keep Rangers at bay especially following Gareth McAuley's sending-off for handball on the line after 68 minutes.
He said: "It was great to get another goal and although we are happy with a point, we could so easily have come away with all three.
"Therefore I've got mixed feelings because I thought we had ridden the storm but unfortunately we had a man sent off and then the resulting penalty cost us a goal.
"But we showed a lot of character as we have done all season and everyone gave 100 per cent and did fantastically."
Kisnorbo also had a word of sympathy for his team-mate McAuley, who will now serve a one-match ban after his second-half red card.
"It's never nice when you are sent off and I felt for Gareth because it has happened to me as well this season.
"It's a shame because he has been doing well but the pleasing aspect is that Paddy McCarthy is now back and that is an added bonus.
"Paddy is a great captain and a leader and I'll be more than happy to hand him back the armband for Tuesday's match against Stoke."
The Potters go in to the midweek clash at the Walkers Stadium off the back of a 5-0 thrashing of Norwich.
But Kisnorbo knows that his side are more than capable of extending their unbeaten run in the Championship to eight matches.
"Stoke are playing well and are scoring some goals but we will turn in another fighting performance and battle on.
"Hopefully we will have another big crowd behind us and we can collect another three points."
And the defender is hoping to continue his rich vein of goalscoring form.
"This is my best season so far in terms of scoring goals - it's my way of helping the team and long may it continue."
