Leicester City's FA Cup adventure remains alive and kicking after Danny Cadamarteri's last-gasp goal earned his side a 2-2 draw against Fulham at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes more than matched their Premiership opponents and will now face a third round replay at Craven Cottage thanks to Cadamarteri's first for his new club.
Patrick Kisnorbo's sixth of the season had cancelled out Brian McBride's opener.
But Moritz Volz's well-executed strike six minutes from time looked to have won it for the visitors.
However, City had other ideas and sparked the celebrations when they levelled for a second time with almost the last kick of the match.
City registered the first shot off target inside two minutes when Gareth Williams met Levi Porter's deflected cross from the left, but his effort from 20-yards was always rising and did not trouble Jan Lastuvka in the Fulham goal.
A minute later Hume's side-footed shot just went wide of the visitors' left-hand upright with Lastuvka beaten.
At the other end, Paul Henderson gathered under pressure from McBride then tipped Heidar Helguson's header over the bar from Elliot Omozusi's deep cross into the area.
From the resulting corner, McBride's downward header was saved by the Australian.
On 14 minutes, both Paddy McCarthy and Hume narrowly failed to connect with Stephen Hughes' dangerous cross from the right.
A well-worked corner in the 19th minute, found Hughes on the edge of the area, but his dipping shot just fell the wrong side of the crossbar.
The hosts continued to apply the early pressure, earning a succession of corners and could have taken the lead in the 24th minute.
Hume's fine through ball fed strike partner Matty Fryatt who found himself one-on-one with veteran defender Ian Pearce.
But after cutting inside on his stronger foot, the centre-half did enough to block his opponent's shot and the danger was cleared.
Henderson got down well to deny Moritz Volz on 29 minutes before Carlos Bocanegra was cautioned after bringing down a free-flowing Fryatt two minutes later.
Captain Michael Brown drilled his shot wide soon after before Wayne Routledge squandered the visitors' best chance in the 37th minute.
He was played clean through but in rounding Henderson his touch was too heavy and McCarthy got back to hack the ball clear.
Then from the resulting play Alan Maybury brilliantly jinked his way into the area, but his shot found the arms of Lastuvka.
Fryatt should how opened the scoring in the 42nd minute but he failed to connect cleanly with Hughes' header back across goal after the midfielder met Porter's deep cross.
In first-half stoppage time, Routledge's free-kick flew narrowly over the bar as the game remained goalless at the interval.
The visitors' were the first to show at the start of the second half when Tomasz Radzinski drove his shot just wide of the post with Henderson beaten.
Fryatt tried his luck from outside the area on 51 minutes then McCarthy shot wide under pressure from Liam Rosenior after Gareth McAuley had headed Tiatto's corner back into the danger area.
Omozusi dragged his effort wide three minutes later after ghosting into the area before Hume fired over moments later as the game continued to ebb and flow.
Fryatt headed inches wide after McAuley's pin-point cross then Hughes' downward header from Fryatt's cross was hurriedly hacked away by Pearce.
Hume should have handed his side the advantage in the 59th minute but after meeting Fryatt's pull-back from the left-hand by-line, he could not keep his half-volley down and the ball found its way into the South Stand.
Pearce beat Henderson to the ball from Rosenior's corner but could not keep his header down while Bocanegra's volley came close.
Fulham made their first change on 66 minutes when Pearce made way for Gabriel Zakuani.
And it was the Cottagers who opened the scoring three minutes later through McBride.
Brown's through ball dissected the City defence and the American striker did the rest, slotting past Henderson for the opener.
On-loan Roma striker Vincenzo Montella replaced Helguson in the 71st minute then Williams fell foul of referee Mark Clattenburg after bringing down Brown.
The Foxes made a double change on 76 minutes with James Wesolowski and Danny Cadamarteri replacing Danny Tiatto and Hume respectively.
And the changes proved dividends as the home side duly equalised on 79 minutes.
Cadamarteri did well down the left flank and his cross was met by the head of Patrick Kisnorbo, who powered the ball home despite the best attempts of Lastuvka.
Wesolowski shot just over soon after but Fulham restored their advantage on 84 minutes when Moritz Volz drilled home a finely struck effort low past Henderson from just outside the penalty area.
Henderson saved well from Volz two minutes from time but Cadamarteri's last gasp heroics earned his side a replay when he fired home from Porter's pull-back in stoppage time.
