Lloyd Dyer joined the Foxes on a three-year deal on Tuesday, July 1 2008 after his Milton Keynes Dons contract expired.

The 25-year-old made a total of 92 appearances during his two-year stint with the Dons, and was an integral part of Paul Ince's side that completed the League Two/Football League Trophy double last season.

Dyer began his career at West Bromwich Albion, where he progressed from trainee to first team member. He made a total of 25 appearances during his time at the Hawthorns - scoring on two occasions.

The player also spent time out on loan with Kidderminster Harriers, Coventry City, QPR and Millwall before he joined MK Dons in August 2006.

It was at this point that his career really took off. He was named League Two Player of the Month for October 2007, and played a big part in the success story at MK Dons last season.

Although known for his build up play, Dyer also has an eye for goal and found the net 16 times during his time at Stadium MK.

He made his Leicester debut against his former club on the opening day of the 2008-2009 season and his first goals for City came when he netted twice in a 4-0 win at Cheltenham on August 30, 2008.

Dyer went on to score eleven goals in the League One promotion season, becoming a virtual ever present in the Leicester City side.

As City finished fifth in the Championship and reached the play-off semi-finals, Dyer again figured heavily and was particularly influential in the second half of the season.

Dyer played on the left of a three pronged attack in the second half of the season, predominantly alongside Martyn Waghorn and Paul Gallagher. Dyer's energetic style of play was summed up perfectly in February away at Blackpool when he finished a fine counter attacking move to seal an away win at Blackpool.
