David Martin put pen to paper on a six-month loan deal when he joined fellow Reds loanee Jack Hobbs at the Walkers Stadium Monday, August 4 2008.
"At my age, gaining first team experience is of paramount importance and that's why I have come to Leicester," said the England Youth international.
"I certainly want to make the most of my time here and hopefully Leicester will benefit from my arrival as well."
The 22-year-old shotstopper started his career as a youth team player with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to MK Dons.
He made his debut in 2004 and went on to make 25 appearances for the club.
After a successful trial period, the youngster, whose father Alvin played for West Ham, signed for the Reds in January, 2006.
He has yet to earn his senior competitive debut for Liverpool, though did make the bench when Reading came to Anfield for a Carling Cup clash in October 2006.
The Romford-born 'keeper, who has one England Under-20 cap to his name, was loaned to Accrington Stanley in February 2007 and went on to clock up 10 appearances, helping the club avoid relegation to the Conference.
In May 2008, he signed a new contract at Anfield keeping him at the Premier League outfit until June 2010.
Martin marked his Leicester City debut with a clean sheet against Stockport County in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, August 12 2008.
It was confirmed in December 2008 that David would remain on loan at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the 2008-09 campagn.
