Defender Jack Hobbs has fast established himself as a fans' favourite at the Walkers Stadium since arriving from Liverpool, initially on loan before signing a four year deal in 2009.
Hobbs began his football career at Lincoln City, and had played just three minutes of first team football before he was signed by Liverpool in August 2005.
Hobbs had limited first team opportunities at Anfield but was named captain of the Reds' reserves side, and was also a member of the FA Youth Cup winning side of 2006.
Of the five appearances Hobbs made whilst at Liverpool his first came in the Carling Cup in September, 2007 against Reading, and the defender's Premier League debut came later that year, as he replaced Jamie Carragher in a 4-0 win over Bolton Wanderers.
Hobbs spent a brief spell on loan at Scunthorpe United in the early part of 2008, making nine appearances and scoring one of only two career goals against Stoke City.
Nigel Pearson signed Hobbs on loan for the 2008/09 season which saw City crowned as League One champions, and was a virtual ever present alongside the likes of Michael Morrison and Bruno Berner in the Foxes' defence.
In City's first season back in the Championship Hobbs matured hugely as a player and became one of Leicester's most important players as they finished fifth in the Championship table and reached the play-off semi finals.
The club's end of season awards dinner saw Hobbs named as both the Fan's Player of the Year, and the Player's Player of the Year (alongside Andy King) something Hobbs described "as a huge honour."
Hobbs was named captain of Leicester City for the two play-off semi final games against Cardiff City, along with the final league game of the season against Middlesbrough.
